Last weekend I headed south from New England to check out Dirt Rag Magazine's Dirt Fest, located in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. You may not have ever heard of this tiny northern West Virginia town since its estimated population is around 84 people. But don't let this little town fool you, Bruceton Mills packs a serious punch with some of the best biking trails in the area. Roots, rocks, technical, and steeps are just some of the reasons people flock to this big party in the woods.
Dirt Fest is situated right in the middle of the Big Bear Lake Trail Center. This location allows expo goers to chat with vendors, demo bikes, and participate in activities easily all day long. Besides riding bikes, Dirt Fest keeps people well entertained with yoga, live music, costume parties, parades, and endless fun provided from the Dirt Rag Magazine crew.
