The Bailiff maintains order through the most adverse winter conditions. The 4.5" width provides the surface area needed to stay on top of the fluffy stuff while tall, widely-spaced knobs improve braking and cornering traction on packed snow. Available with or without carbide studs pre-installed, all versions feature 312 stud pockets for unbeatable traction on ice. The Bailiff's tubeless-ready 120tpi casing provides a supple ride feel, conforms to all surface conditions, and minimizes rotational weight. Its snow-specific compound remains soft at extremely cold temperatures to provide unparalleled traction on the most frigid days of the year. Refuse to call winter the "off" season? No-Compromise Tread

Tight groupings of center knobs cut down on rolling resistance without hesitating to dig in while braking. Tall outer knobs quickly provide traction in the earliest phases of cornering. Strategic placement of tread encourages effective shedding of snow keeping the knobs clear to deliver traction. Did you know you can also run this puppy in reverse for those seeking max traction when climbing something gnarly... not Everest, but you get the point.

Strategically Directional Siping

Center and intermediate knobs are siped in a direction that improves accelerating and braking traction by increasing the amount of working edges that bite into the snow when you crank on the pedals or slam on the brakes. Outer knobs feature sipes that run parallel to the tire in order to improve cornering traction.

Snow focused testing and design

When several of our amazing bike partners in Canada approached up to make a snow tire, we were skeptical at first, I mean, we are based in California. So we looked to our experts, the snow experts in Vermont where they are covered in snow, four months out of the year. This tire went through so many revisions to get it just right, kinda like goldilocks and the three bears. It took time, but we got it right and can't wait for you to shred on it.

TCS Tubeless-Ready

TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is WTB's standardized tubeless system. Versions with a TCS tubeless-ready casing benefit from reduced flats and allows lower tire pressures to improve traction and comfort over a traditional tube-type tire.

Do I need the studded version?

So when it comes down to it, do you want a studded or non-studded tire? The studded version is going to provide more bite in icy conditions. There are over 300 stud pockets in the Bailiff tire, you can pick and choose your pattern. He has put in over 200 hours in sub zero conditions testing this tire in Vermonts' finest snow storms to make sure this tire was up to snuff and preferred the studded version for that extra traction and control.
