Spot On: Pink Bike Reviews New Weirwolf

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Our friends over at Pink Bike posted a great review of the new Weirwolf tires. It is by far the most thorough review to date. Check it out here.

Oh, and a little bird told me that the Weirwolf 2.1 TCS just won the Spring Thaw DH race under the pedals of Mr. Mark Weir.

Did I say Weirwolf 2.1 TCS? Yes, I did.

Fast.

Real fast.

Course record-setting fast.

Aviator Proves its Might with Singletracks.com

Aviator Review on ST

The crew at Singletracks.com is very pleased with performance of our new Aviator saddle. Our whole idea behind this saddle was to combine comfort with unbreakable durability. By the looks of this review we’ve achieved our goal. In fact, the Aviator was so tough that while these guys were testing they broke a seat post in a crash, and the saddle was completely unscathed. Looks like the crew at Twentynineinches.com is head-over-heals in love with the Wolverine 29″ tire. In a recent review (the Wolverine’s Mid-Term Test), the editor stated, “I have many hours on this as a front tire over a wide range of surfaces and across two bikes. It has fast become my favorite front tire for all around trail riding.” And it gets even better from there. Read the entire review here.

Year of the Nano Raptor!

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Nano post

Guitar Ted of TwentyNineInches.com just posted a fantastic article about WTB’s Nano Raptor tire. The report reminds us that 2009 marks the ten-year anniversary of the Nano Raptor and the 29er mountain bike. Just ten short years ago WTB co-owner and chief designer, Mark Slate (pictured above), designed the very first 29-inch mountain bike tire–the Nano Raptor. With the help of a devoted group of wagon-wheelers, that one tire started a big-wheeled revolution. As Guitar Ted stated, “I for one will be declaring 2009 as the “Year of the Nano Raptor”. Why not? I figure that without this tire, I still might be “endo-ing” on a 26′er somewhere in the woods and not having as much fun as I do today.”

Well put, Guitar Ted, and cheers to Mark Slate for making it all happen ten years ago and still today.
