A Pleasureable Kind of Hell

Marshall Eames near Spencer Lake

These are just a few images from the Santa Cruz Hellride—Where Team WTB-riders Mark Weir, Jason Moeschler and Rachel Lloyd led eight riders on an all day epic over rugged terrain. By the end of the ordeal, ride finishers covered about 60-miles and climbed more than 14,000-feet all on Downieville, California’s sweetest trails.

Mark Weir, Rachel Lloyd, Jason Moeschler. These WTB-riders aren’t single speeders. They don’t even own single speeds. But when the Single Speed World Championships came to Napa, California—Team WTB’s home turf—Weir, Moeschler and Lloyd converted their everyday bikes into one speeds and set their sights on winning.

LaserDisc Lite 15mm Preview in Mountain Bike

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Mountain Bike/15 hub

It’s true: WTB is introducing a new LaserDisc Lite hub with a 15 x 10-millimeter thru-axle to accompany the new crop of 15QR forks from Fox and Marzocchi. We’re excited about this new system for trail riding applications. All Mountain/trail riding is the heart and soul of WTB. Mark Weir–Mr. All Mountain–has been in the product design loop for both this new hub and Fox’s 15mm system. Through Weir’s rigorous testing, the 15QR system has proven to be strong, light and safer than conventional dropouts.

The LaserDisc Lite 15mm hub will be available this fall, along with a multitude of other exciting new-for-2009 components.
